A guided tour and a catalog with more than 200 images, videos and interactive animations!
The application accompanies the visitor during the exhibition: Studio Blumenfeld - Smuggling Art, at La Cité de la Mode et du Design, in Paris.
Beacons sensors distributed in the different exhibition spaces trigger audio fragments: Erwin Blumenfeld reading his autobiography (in German!). Or the curators of the exhibition, Nadia Blumenfeld-Charbit and François Cheval commenting on some of his works.
Discover also interactive animations offering the possibility to play with the layout of a fashion magazine, to use filters and other special effects in the manner of Blumenfeld. The application highlights the process of creating the picture, From shooting to transformations in the dark-room until his images are modified and adapted by the art-directors of a magazine.
The application continues the experience after the exhibition; the catalog presents the work of Erwin Blumenfeld through numerous photographs, including some of the artists unpublished photos unveiled during the exhibition, as well as fashion videos that are still unknown to the public, but also audio sequences (interviews, readings and comments).
The catalog also offers numerous documents about Blumenfeld and his time: the artists and writers who inspired him, the highlights of his biography - with photos of his houses and studios, correspondences and magazines.
